AGNES ROSE McCARTHY
McCarthy, Agnes Rose, 84, of Dade City, Fla., passed away January 25, 2011.
She was born May 18, 1926, in Dade City. Mrs. McCarthy was the owner and operator of McCarthy and Sons Harvesting and Running M Ranch in St. Joseph, Fla.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of St. Joseph.
She is survived by her six children, Mary Jane (Steve) Dewees of Dike, Texas, Charlotte (Richard) Back of Dade City, Johnny (Cindy) McCarthy and Arlene (Warren) Stevens, both of St. Joseph, Sharon (Tim) Polk of Dade City, and Thomas (Cherri) McCarthy of St. Joseph; 14 grandchildren, Melinda, Kelly, Roger, Shannon, Justin, Lacey, Hayes, Austin, Shanna, Timmy, Bobby, Christina, Brent and Amber; nine great-grand-children, Brock, Bailey, Todd, Makenna, Ty, Houston, Hardy, Joshua and Nathan; three brothers, Florian (Sylvia) Gude, Frank (Rosernary) Gude, and Carl (Louise) Gude; and a sister, Sophia Storch.
She was predeceased by her parents, Clement G. and Mary B. Gude; husband, John E. McCarthy, sisters and brothers-in-law, Edna (Louis) Barthle, John (Celia) Scharber, Bill (Millie) Scharber; brother, Leonard Gude; and brother-in-law, Edward Storch.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of St. Joseph, 32025 St. Joe Road, Dade City, Fla. A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, January 28, at the church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, St. Joseph, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of St. Joseph, Fla. or to HPH Hospice, 37441 Clinton Ave., Dade City, FL 33525.
